Wondering what to expect from your Electric Bay Cruise?
What is your reservation policy?
For our reservation policy, please visit our reservation policy page.
Where does the boat leave from?
Our boat leaves from Huddy Park in Toms River (we’ll meet you by the gazebo) and cruises the Barnegat Bay.
Can we bring food and drinks onboard?
We welcome food, drinks, beer, and wine on a BYOB basis (must have proof that you are 21 or over). We can get them for you for a small fee. Please email us for details.
Is the boat loud?
You’ll never have to shout over a boat engine because our electric boat offers a calm, quiet ride every time. Our sound system ensures you can play your own tunes or we can play some for you to enjoy during your cruise.
Does The Boat Move Fast?
At Electric Bay we’re not in a hurry once we’re out on the water. Our top speed is 6 mph, perfect for cruising. All you’ll feel is the breeze on your face as you spend a few hours relaxing in comfort with your favorite people.
What if it’s really sunny? What if it rains?
The boat also has a canopy cover, 360-degree unobstructed views, and lots of windows that can each be adjusted to your level of comfort. So you can enjoy the comfort and relaxation of time out cruising even if the sun isn’t shining.
Can I bring my children on a cruise?
Absolutely! While we’re always here for your booze cruises and wine-fueled wind-downs, we’re also ready for your kid-friendly family time cruises too. No matter how you want to spend your Electric Bay day, we’re here to make sure you have fun on the water. Any children under 13 must wear a lifejacket on board the boat. All minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Do you accept cash for bookings?
All bookings must be made and paid for online. The captain doesn’t keep any cash on hand but will graciously accept tips.
What time should I be there?
Please arrive 15 minutes before your tour is scheduled to begin. Please note that if you are late, it will cut into your trip time.
Can I fish or swim on my cruise?
In order to keep our cabin in top shape for all of our customers, swimming and fishing are not allowed at this time.
What about pets?
We love your furry friends as much as you do, we just can’t have them on the boat. Sorry, no pets allowed. No exceptions.
What should I wear?
Whatever you want! With our windows down, the boat is quite warm but we suggest you dress for the weather so that you can be as comfortable as possible. Feel free to bring a blanket! Once aboard, no shoes are necessary but if you want to have shoes on, flat, comfy shoes are suggested to cruise. No high heels or roller skates – sorry Michele!
What should I bring?
Sunscreen! While the boat is covered, the windows allow in plenty of sun. Snacks, drinks, and a medium size cooler will be allowed on board. There’s also a fridge and cooler built in, but feel free to bring your own. Have concerns about an item? Feel free to reach out via text or email.
Where do I park?
Huddy Park in Toms River has 2 public parking lots (one open air and the other across the street, is a multi-level parking garage) with plenty of space for you. Please allow time to park and walk to the pickup spot.
Do you provide cups or utensils?
We do not. With our boat leaving zero emissions in the water, we strive to keep our footprint as small as possible. If you can, we encourage bringing your own reusable containers or avoid using single use plastics whenever possible.
I have a question that’s not answered here. What should I do?
No worries. Reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll connect!
